<p>Friends of detained student activists are demanding that they be transferred to a civilian hospital, after it was reported that they have contracted Covid-19 while in detention and are not receiving proper care.&nbsp;</p>

<p><a href="http://tlhr2014.com/archives/33655">Thai Lawyers for Human Rights (TLHR)</a> reports that the Courts have denied bail requests from 10 individuals held for participating in recent protests.&nbsp; The courts contend that all ten are likely to violate the law and cause further disorder, if released.</p>

<p>The activist group Thalufah has staged daily demonstrations from 16 &ndash; 22 August to protest against the government&rsquo;s mishandling of the Covid-19 pandemic and demand the resignation of Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha.&nbsp;</p>
