The Move Forward Party (MFP) has passed a resolution to expel Bangkok MP Chaiyamphawan Manpianjit, after he refused to issue a public apology for sexually harassing three people on his team.

A 31-year-old man has been sentenced to one year and six months in prison for Facebook posts criticising the monarchy.  However, he was subsequently placed on parole for a two year period.

The Civil Court has postponed a hearing in a lawsuit filed by activist Jatupat Boonpattararaksa against NSO Group, an Israeli company which developed the Pegasus spyware, after the company’s lawyers claimed that they are unable to reach the relevant Israeli authorities to complete necessary paperwork because the country is at war.

A 19-year-old activist has been sentenced to prison for royal defamation over a speech criticising the monarchy during a protest on 6 December 2020, and been granted parole for two years.

On Thursday, the Move Forward Party (MFP) passed a resolution to expel Prachinburi MP Wutthipong Thonglao from the party and censure Bangkok MP Chaiyamphawan Manpianjit for the current parliamentary session because of their involvement in sexual misconduct cases, a serious violation of party values and principles. The decision drew criticism from party supporters who felt Chaiyamphawan should also have been expelled.

A 27-year-old business owner has been found guilty of royal defamation and violation of the Computer Crimes Act for sharing two Facebook posts and given a suspended prison sentence of 3 years.

Activist Mongkhon Thirakot has been found guilty of royal defamation and violation of the Computer Crimes Act and sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison for two Facebook posts made in July 2022.

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has announced that the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) will not be dissolved, arguing that its assistance is needed for development missions. The Move Forward Party has called for its dissolution.

Student activist Benja Apan has been sentenced to prison with a two-year suspension for a royal defamation charge resulting from a speech she gave during a protest on 10 August 2021.
