<p>On 12 September, South Bangkok Criminal Court accepted a defamation lawsuit filed by Thammakaset Co Ltd, the 39th of its kind, against Angkhana Neelapaijit, Puttanee Kangkun, and Thanaporn Saleephol over their tweets about labour rights violations at their farm.</p>

<p>Chaiwat Limlikitaksorn, former Superintendent of Kaeng Krachan National Park, has filed a perjury complaint against human rights lawyer Waraporn Utairangsee, who was the legal representative for the Bang Kloi Indigenous Karen community and its spiritual leader Ko-i Meemi.</p>

<p>The Supreme Court has dismissed a defamation lawsuit against former Voice TV reporter Suchanee Cloitre filed by the Thammakaset Company on the grounds that her report was criticism made in good faith.</p>

<p>15 activists who received a police summons for their participation in the 18 July mass protest at the Democracy Monument went to Samranrat Police Station on 28 August to hear their charges, after they had participated in a <a href="https://prachatai.com/english/node/8755">demonstration at the 14 October Memorial</a> on Ratchadamnoen Avenue the previous night.</p>

<p>Student activist Panupong &ldquo;Mike&rdquo; Jadnok was arrested for the second time yesterday (25 August), for participating in the demonstration at Thammasat University&rsquo;s Rangsit campus on 10 August. Human rights lawyer Anon Nampa was also arrested earlier today (26 August) on the same charge.</p>
