Historian, writer, and political commentator Nidhi Eoseewong has died today (7 August 2023) at the age of 83, after being hospitalised for lung cancer.

<p>Artist, academic, and art critic Thanom Chapakdee died yesterday (27 June) at the age of 64, after he was hospitalized in mid-June for cerebral artery constriction.</p>

<p>Writer and former senator Wimon Chiamcharoen, best known under her pen name Thommayanti, passed away yesterday (13 September) at the age of 85.</p>

<p>Daranee Charnchoengsilpakul, or &ldquo;Da Torpedo,&rdquo; a former reporter and political activist once convicted for lèse majesté, passed away this morning (7 May) at Siriraj Hospital, where she was admitted for cancer treatment.</p>

<p>Teacher and scholar of Thai and Lao history and literature Peter Koret passed away of brain cancer on 9 April in 2020, at Ramkhamhaeng Hospital in Bangkok. He was 60 years old.</p>
