A few hundred people gathered at the Bangkok Art and Cultural Centre, Siam Square, on 3 January 2014 to call for peace amid the escalating tension over the political deadlock as a result of the current anti-government demonstrations, led by Suthep Thaugsuban. They call for an end to the protests and urge the country to move on to the general election, scheduled on February 2.
