A participant in the Bike for Dad cycling rally to honour HM the King has filed a lèse majesté complaint against Nakhon Sawan provincial authorities for giving him a fake Bike for Dad shirt.

According to Thairath News, Banjong Lueadthahan, a participant in the Bike for Dad cycling rally from Mueang District of Nakhon Sawan Province, on Wednesday evening filed a complaint under Article 112 of the Criminal Code, the lèse majesté law, against the provincial administration of Nakhon Sawan Province.

Banjong accused the provincial administration of giving him a ‘fake’ Bike for Dad cycling shirt although he was supposed to get a real one.

He explained that Nakhon Sawan Administration was given 4,100 ‘real Bike for Dad shirts’ in total, given to rally participants by the Royal Household. Nonetheless, there are 6,200 participants registered from Nakhon Sawan. Therefore, those who registered later were given similar shirts made by the provincial office.

He claimed that he was supposed to get a real shirt given by the Royal Household as his registration number is 2356, within the first 4,100 participants from the province who registered.

The accuser said that by giving him a fake cycling shirt, the provincial administration caused harm to the King’s honour.

Banjong returned the shirt to the provincial office. He explained further that the message on the collar of the real shirt differs from the one that was given to him and that the real shirt has a back pocket.
