A statement for 14 embattled student activists: Thai Student Center for Democracy (TSCD)

As everyone has seen, Today is a day that our friends have been arrested by undercover authorities. 14 men and women. 14 men and women who stand fight with a horror of injustice and tyranny. One year ago, this tyranny has taken our freedoms away by stole our rights with guns, violence, censorship and civil unrest.

This is the reasons for us to fight. We have to go on the street to protect our freedom at all cost. We fight for everyone in this country. We are the guardian of democracy. This is what we are. We fight because we believe that someday this country can be better. We believe this country can rise up to be one of the greatest countries on the earth with freedoms, liberty and justice. This is what we are fighting for. This is worth fighting for.

Today you might see us face court martial. You might see us in prison. You might have a question from your curiosity but no worries. Curiosity is what makes us men. Question is a part of humanity. Freedoms are a part of human bring. Torrance is a part of society. Democracy is our way of life. What this military regime has done to us is nothing. Nothing but exposes themselves a fear. They are trying so hard to make us retreat but no we are not. We are dare enough to face them because we knows what we are doing is right. Freedoms are what this country deserves. We are doing this not just for one generation but for the generation who will come after all of us. This is our finest hour.

To everyone in this world who heard this. Please do not give up. As Charlie Chaplin said “The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish. .....” They might imprison us but they will never imprison our wills and ideas. We will make them know that ideas is bullet proof.
