The trial of the Prachatai Director has been postponed to September and October after 5 days of hearings dealt with 5 witnesses out of 14 in total.
The Criminal Court has cancelled the hearings on 15-17 Feb, and rescheduled the hearings of prosecution witnesses to 1, 2, 6-9, 20 and 21 September and those of defence witnesses to 11–14 October.
On 11 Feb, the court explained that the postponement was because the judges will be on duty remanding narcotics and general cases on 15 and 16 Feb respectively.
According to the public prosecutor, many questions were raised during the cross examinations of witnesses, so the trial lagged behind schedule and the dates originally set for hearing prosecution witnesses had already run out.
The trial in the first 4 days has been reported in detail by Freedom Against Censorship Thailand (FACT): 4, 8, 9, and 10 Feb.
