The King Protection Group has filed a royal defamation complaint against a Twitter user who goes by the name Sirivannavari Mahidol, Twitter handle @HkooVd, and uses a picture of the princess as a profile picture.

Leader of the royalist group Thongchai Neimhom, who lodged the complaint at Khlong Khanan Police Station in Krabi Province, stated the account has been impersonating the Princess and making defamatory statements against King Vajiralongkorn.

The complaint includes three charges under Section 112 of the Penal Code and Section 14 (3) of the Computer Crimes Act, linked to various alleged inappropriate tweets.

Thongchai said he was in shock upon reading the posts on Twitter as they expressed animosity towards the King and wondered what the King had done to provoke such hatred and incitement. However, after scrutinising the language used, he found a similarity to the language used by an individual he had previously filed a complaint against on June 20.
