<p>Thai police have searched the house of a former high ranking palace official accused under the lèse majesté law, confiscating 10 million baht’s worth of cash and property. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>According to the&nbsp;<a href="http://www.tnamcot.com/content/208777">Thai News Agency</a>, Pol Lt Gen Prawut Thavornsiri, spokesman of the Royal Thai Police, and investigating officers on Sunday carried out a search of the house of Montri S., a former palace official serving Srirasmi, the former royal consort to the Crown Prince. Montri is accused of citing the monarchy for personal gain.</p>
<div>The criminal court on Thursday sentenced a man to five years in jail for lèse majesté based on claims about the former royal consort in a land encroachment case. </div>

<p>The parents of Srirasmi Suwadee, former royal consort to the Crown Prince, have confessed to lèse majesté allegations related to a case of adultery.</p> <p>Abhiruj Suwadee, 72, and Wantanee Suwadee, 66, on Friday morning confessed to the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) Police to offences under Article 112 or the lèse majesté law and for filing a false police complaint and framing others, which led to a person serving a term in jail.</p>
