<p>Monarchy reform activist Tantawan Tuatulanon has been granted bail after spending over a month in pre-trial detention on royal defamation charges, while the Court once again denied bail for activist <a name="_Hlk104499712">Sopon Surariddhidhamrong</a>, also held in pre-trial detention on a royal defamation charge.</p>

<p>Monarchy reform activist Tantawan Tuatulanon&rsquo;s bail was revoked today (20 April), after the Criminal Court claimed she has broken her bail conditions by going near a royal motorcade and posting about the monarchy on Facebook.</p>

<p>Activist and human rights lawyer Anon Nampa has been granted bail by the South Bangkok Criminal Court and was released on Monday (28 February 2022), after spending almost 7 months in detention pending trial on several royal defamation charges relating to protests in 2020 &ndash; 2021.</p>

<p>6 activists from the Thalufah group had their bail revoked last Friday (21 January 2022) for writing on the wall of a court arraignment room when they reported to the court on 18 January 2022, before one was released on Saturday (22 January 2022).</p>

<p>In a statement issued on Monday&nbsp;(27 December), the lawyer of activists Parit Chiwarak, Panupong Jadnok, Anon Nampa, and Jatupat Boonpattararaksa announced that his clients will not be filing another bail request, having been denied bail again last Friday (24 December).</p>

<p>Amnesty International has launched its 20th Write for Rights campaign, which includes a call for justice for Thai student activist Panusaya Sithijirawattanakul, currently <a href="https://prachatai.com/english/node/9558">detained pending trial</a> on royal defamation charges.</p>
