<p>A series of investigative reports on the struggle for bail rights featured in Prachatai English were recognised by Amnesty International Thailand during its 14 February 2023 Human Rights Media Awards 2022 ceremony at the Sukosol Hotel.</p>

<p>The trial of Petr Donatek, a 46-year-old Czech man alleged to have hired two martial artists to attack Thai political refugees in Paris in 2019 has finally taken place. During the proceedings, Donatek insisted that he was not the one who planned the attack. A verdict is expected on 2 March.</p>

<p>In addition to the dry fasting by activists Tantawan Tuatulanon and Orawan Phuphong, one other detainee has been on hunger strike for over a week and another has just started after being released on bail.</p>
