78 days after the death of activist Netiporn ‘Bung’ Sanesangkhom, who died in prison following a long hunger strike, a lawyer has urged the authorities to expedite their investigation and disclose all findings to the public before the court inquest into Bung’s death proceeds, asserting that her death occurred at the Correctional Hospital.

Lawyers representing detained activist Ekkachai Hongkangwan have asked for him to be transferred to the Thammasat University Hospital after a tumour was found in his abdomen.

Detained political activist Ekkachai Hongkangwan has been transferred to the Corrections Hospital due to a high fever. Upon examination, he was found to have abnormal kidney function and leukocytosis.

After 14 days of hunger strike, Warunee, a woman detained pending appeal on a royal defamation charge, has been transferred to the Thammasat University Hospital.
