<p>An ultra-royalist group has filed a royal defamation complaint against Move Forward party MP Amarat Chokepamitkul, after she posted a video clip on Twitter of herself speaking about court neutrality issues in royal defamation cases.</p>

<p>A hardline royalist activist launched a legal action on Monday against an opposition party for voicing concern during a recent parliamentary debate over the indiscriminate use of the royal defamation law.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Amarat Chokepamitkul, an MP of the Move Forward Party (MFP) and member of the House Committee on Political Development, Mass Communications and Public Participation said the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) would be summoned to explain their request to the mainstream media to avoid covering news about monarchy reform.</p>
