The courts have accepted a defamation lawsuit against Rangsiman Rome for publicly disclosing the record of a parliamentary debate in which he alleged that Senator Upakit Pachariyangkun was involved in money laundering.

<p>Senator Upakit Pachariyangkun has sued Move Forward Party MP Rangsiman Rome for defamation, after <a href="https://prachataienglish.com/node/10239">Rangsiman gave a speech during Thursday&rsquo;s (16 February) censure debate on Upakit&rsquo;s business links to Tun Min Latt</a>, a Myanmar tycoon with close ties to coup leader Senior General Min Aung Hliang.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Move Forward Party (MFP) MP Rangsiman Rome revealed during last week&rsquo;s mid-year censure debate that Maj Gen Paween Pongsirin, a senior police officer investigating Rohingya human trafficking in 2015, decided to seek asylum in Australia due to threats and pressure from his superiors.</p>

<p>New Economics Party MP and former party leader Mingkwan Saengsuwan announced his resignation in an address to parliament during the mid-year censure debate last Thursday (17 February 2022).</p>
