Thai junta gives free movie tickets to ‘return happiness’ on Mother’s Day

The Thai junta will distribute 20,000 free movie tickets for Thais to celebrate Thailand’s Mother’s Day on 12 August, Than Setthakit Online reported.
This is the third free movie screening organized by the Thai authorities as part of the “Return Happiness” campaign.
Previously only the patriotic film The Legend of King Naresuan was screened for the campaign. This time, the details have not been revealed.
According to Than Setthakit, Major Cineplex, a major Thai theatre operator, donated the free seats.

Since 2007, Prachatai English has been covering underreported issues in Thailand, especially about democratization and human rights, despite the risk and pressure from the law and the authorities.
