Coup makers continue to threaten academics as the Thai military has unofficially summoned Chulalongkorn political scientist Pitch Pongsawat for "adtitute adjustment" on Friday.

The talk took place on Friday morning at the military base in Sanam Pao, Bangkok.

The military on Wednesday contacted Pitch and “invited” him for a “talk.” On Friday, the military sent a van to take the academi to the military base, according to the academic.

During the three-hour talk, Pitch said on his Facebook account that the military asked him on his stance on the Article 112 or the lese majeste law. The military also explained to the academic that the “movement to overthrow the monarchy” is well-organized and that academics who campaign against the lese majeste law, such as the Nitirat group, do not fully understand the issue.

Pitch is a co-host of the Wake Up Thailand, the news talk show program on the Voice TV. Prachatai editor-in-chief Chuwat Lurksirisuk is also a co-host of the program.
