Thai media is reporting that the King will give royal approval to Gen Prayuth Chan-cha's position as chair of the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) on Monday morning. A royally-approved ceremony will be held at the Royal Thai Army Headquarters. 
 
After his appointment, the NCPO will announce an interim constitution to replace the 2007 constitution. 
 
Lt.Gen. Phanuwat Nakwong, Assistant Chief of Staff For Civil Affairs said Gen Prayuth will be granted royal command at 10 a.m., followed by his appointment as Prime Minister. The national legislative committee and reform committee will also be established. He said Gen Prayuth will disclose the details of Thailand's new system of governance after his royal appointment is announced.
