On 21 June, a group of yellow shirts petitioned the National Police Chief to prosecute about 300 writers who had signed on a campaign to amend the lèse majesté law.

The group, which consisted of about 50 yellow shirts and was led by Suthi Polsawat, former Director-General of the Department of Physical Education, urged the police to retain Article 112 of the Criminal Code and prosecute the writers for sedition and attempting to overthrow the monarchy.
