The army will continue its programme called ‘Fight the economic crisis with the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy’ by sending ISOC staff to visit communities to create unity among the people and explain the military role in the recent crackdown.

On 5 July, Deputy Army Spokesperson Col Sirichan Ngathong said that the July monthly meeting of the army, chaired by Army Chief Gen Anupong Paojinda, decided that the army will continue the programme in the 2010 budget year.  The Internal Security Operations Command will send 1,200 staff, including military personnel from all three forces and civilians, to visit communities to help solve the problems of the people and create unity among them, as well as to explain that the recent military operations were done in the best interests of the nation.

Staff from all over the country will be invited to the Army Club on Viphavadi Rangsit Rd on 7 July to receive guidelines and get information.  In subsequent weeks, the regional armies will hold 4-day training sessions for staff.
