Move Forward's Pita Limjaroenrat has taken the lead in a poll for Prime Minister, replacing former frontrunner Paetongtarn Shinawatra from the Pheu Thai Party. In the two previous polls conducted by the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), Paetongtarn came first followed by Pita and United Thai Nation's Prayut Chan-o-cha.

Of 2,500 respondents aged 18 years or older, 35.44% picked Pita as their choice for PM, and 29.20% chose Paetongtarn. Prayut came a distant third with the backing of 14.84% of respondents.

The poll, conducted via telephone interviews during April 24-28, shows opposition parties winning both constituency and party list polls by wide margins. Pheu Thai and Move Forward together garnered 72% of votes in the constituency poll and 73.28% in the party list poll.

While Pheu Thai still leads in both polls, Move Forward Party's popularity among respondents has increased significantly compared to the previous two NIDA polls .
