Taweesin Visanuyothin, Deputy Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), addressed the issue of medical staff workload in response to an actress who resigned from her medical position due to workload, saying that Thailand has a limited number of doctors with around 1 doctor for every 2,000 people.

<p>The Centre for the Covid-19 Situation Administration with the PM at its helm decided to lift the 11 pm &ndash; 3 am curfew. Many businesses are also allowed to resume, with protection measures and social distancing, on 15 June. Border controls rermain in place.</p>

<p>The Emergency Decree will remain in effect through May, and measures including flight bans, the night time curfew, the ban on social gatherings, and travel restrictions between provinces will continue to be enforced, announced Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) spokesperson Taweesin Visanuyothin on Monday (27 April.)</p>
