The South Bangkok Criminal Court has dismissed the criminal defamation lawsuit filed by the Lopburi-based chicken farm company Thammakaset against three human rights defenders for their postings on social media about alleged abuse of migrant workers at its farm.

Thai chicken farm company Thammakaset has filed two new criminal complaints against former human rights commissioner Angkhana Neelapaijit and Fortify Rights Senior Human Rights Specialist Puttanee Kangkun for their tweets and re-tweets expressing support for human rights defenders facing lawsuits from Thammakaset and linking to news releases published by Fortify Rights about the cases.
