<p>Parliament approved on Wednesday(8 June) a bill proposing amendments to the Excise Tax law, commonly known as the Progressive Liquor bill, to allow small- and medium-scale breweries to enter the alcohol market.</p>

<p>A draft amendment on excise taxes proposed to parliament by the Move Forward Party (MFP) on 2 February received positive feedback from members of parliament, but the reading was adjourned for lack of a quorum.</p>
