An activist has been sentenced to two years in prison for violating the Emergency Decree and three other offences, after he burned a straw man and photos of government members and senators during a protest in 2021. He was later granted bail.

Concerns have been raised after the Criminal Court refused to let several activists use money from a bail fund to post bail and did not allow a volunteer to act as their guarantor, requiring family members to file the bail request themselves.

6 activists from the Thalufah group had their bail revoked last Friday (21 January 2022) for writing on the wall of a court arraignment room when they reported to the court on 18 January 2022, before one was released on Saturday (22 January 2022).

On Wednesday, 3 November, the Criminal Court granted bail to 4 activists detained pending trial on charges relating to an incident on 3 August 2021 when paint was splashed in front of Thung Song Hong Police Station.
