<p>The People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) anti-election group, has embraced the junta-sponsored draft charter, saying that it is a way out of the country’s political problems while the anti-establishment red shirts have urged the junta to lift the ban on debates over the draft. &nbsp;</p>

<div>The draft charter is intended to bonsai Thailand’s democracy by weakening the majority voice in the House, academic said, adding that it is unlikely to pass in the referendum.&nbsp;</div> <p></p>

<p>The Thai junta issued a new order to establish a committee to cooperate with foreign experts on democratic development while still prohibiting criticism of the new draft constitution.</p>
