Last night (15 October), members of the ultra-royalist group People’s Centre to Protect the Monarchy attacked a group of activists protesting in front of the Ratchadapisek Criminal Court to demand the release of political prisoners. They also threatened reporters livestreaming the protest and other bystanders.

<p>A citizen journalist has been charged with contempt of court for live streaming from the South Bangkok Criminal Court after lawyers filed the 7th bail request for monarchy reform activists Nutthanit and Netiporn.</p>

<p>Following the release of a police watchlist containing names of reporters, activists and citizen journalists covering pro-democracy protests, the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ)&nbsp;urges the Thai authorities to safeguard the safety and security of all working journalists and citizen journalists.</p>

<p>A number of activists and journalists have reported being visited by police officers during the past week, with the officers often questioning their family members for information about them and their activities.&nbsp;</p>

<p><a href="https://www.facebook.com/FCCThailand/posts/4382704865147763">The Foreign Correspondents&#39; Club of Thailand (FCCT)</a> expressed its concerns after the Thai police threatened to arrest journalists covering protests after the 21.00 curfew and issued a list of preconditions for journalists to be allowed to work after curfew which some will be unable to meet.&nbsp;</p>
