The Eastern Relation of Labour Group staged a protest caravan on Sunday (28 August) to demonstrate against the new Labour Relations bill. The group was intercepted by police and and a group of unidentified men who damaged their cars.

Around 1,000 youth and members of the public gathered at Bang Saen beach in Chonburi to collect trash while demanding that the government dissolve parliament, rewrite the constitution, and stop harassing protesters and activists. If the demands are not met by the first of August, there will be a larger protest.

About six military and police officers at 1.30pm stormed in the Burapha University in the eastern province of Chonburi and coerced the university not to allow a seminar, held by students activists, to be cancelled.
