A few thousand people wearing white t-shirts gathered in front of the Bangkok Art & Culture Centre on Friday evening to speak out against violence, and call for the February 2 election to proceed. This is the fourth week the group has gathered at the same time and place in increasing numbers.

Candlelit vigils held by people calling for the election and opposing violence have sprung up in universities across Bangkok and in other provinces during the past week.
