<p>Papatchanan Ching-in has been found guilty of l&egrave;se majest&eacute; for her involvement in a red-shirt protest against the President of the Privy Council in Nakhon Ratchasima in April last year.</p>
<p>The People&rsquo;s Alliance for Democracy held rallies at Bangkok&rsquo;s airports to pressure a corrupt government, but did not close them, Sondhi Limthongkul insisted to the court.</p>
<p>Hundreds of supporters of the People&rsquo;s Alliance for Democracy came out to protest against charter amendments in front of Parliament.&nbsp; Sondhi Limthongkul demanded a referendum prior to any amendments, while Praphan Koonmee said outright that he wished for a coup today, and without a coup Abhisit would never have become Prime Minister. </p>
<p>Sondhi Limthongkul has hit out hard at Abhisit Vejjajiva ahead of the People&rsquo;s Alliance for Democracy&rsquo;s move against Parliament&rsquo;s approval of documents related to the Thai-Cambodian border dispute on 2 Nov.</p>
<p>Yellow-shirt leader Sondhi Limthongkul will stand trial for l&egrave;se majest&eacute; in Nov 2011.</p> <p>On 16 Aug, the court examined the evidence in the case of Sondhi Limthongkul who has been prosecuted for l&egrave;se majest&eacute; for repeating Da Torpedo&rsquo;s words which sent her to jail for 18 years.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </p> <p>Sondhi denied all charges in court.</p> <p>The court set 1 Nov 2011as the starting date for the trial.</p>
<p>According to Matichon online, Pol Maj Gen Vichai Sangprapai, Commander of the 1st Metropolitan Police, said on 31 March that the police had been asked to bring Sondhi Limthongkul to the prosecutor by 2 April.</p>

<p>Leaders of both the red- and yellow-shirt movements appear to have succumbed, in their self-absorbed way, to thinking of themselves as out-of-this-world characters - often to comic effect. Some time ago, the yellow-shirt People's Alliance for Democracy supremo Sondhi Limthongkul dressed all in white like some holy man, splashed his PAD followers with what appeared to be holy water, like that dispensed by Buddhist monks. That was at the height of the PAD's seizure of Government House.</p>
<p>The People&rsquo;s Alliance for Democracy (PAD) took to the stage at Sanam Luang with intense nationalism. &nbsp;Fiery nationalist rhetoric was stressed and repeated, while decades-old nationalist anti-communist songs were played throughout. The &lsquo;Hun Sen Model&rsquo; was the latest term introduced to characterize the Cambodian leader. A larger rally was called for 5 Dec.</p>
