<p>To protest the denial of bail and detention of political prisoners, two activists have revoked their own bail and demanded that every political prisoner is released within 3 days.</p>

<p>A man who was <a href="https://prachataienglish.com/node/10055">arrested in October 2022</a> for refusing to sit down and shouting at King Vajiralongkorn&#39;s royal motorcade has been indicted for royal defamation and resisting arrest.</p>

<p>Two monarchy reform activists have had their bail revoked yesterday (9 January) after the Criminal Court ruled that they had violated their bail conditions by joining an anti-government protest during the APEC summit in November 2022.</p>

In exchange for their release, they must be confined to their home at all times, save for exceptional circumstances.&nbsp;Their isolation, enforced by constant surveillance, makes them the only known cases of house arrest in recent Thai history.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In 2023 fiscal year, a number of agencies were allocated budget related to the monarchy, all of which total approximately 34.75 billion baht or 1.09% of the total national budget (3.185 trillion baht), divided into 16.92 billion baht in direct expenses and 17.83 billion baht in indirect expenses.</p>
