<p>Col Burin Thongprapai, the NCPO&rsquo;s legal officer, has filed sedition charges against Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, leader of the Future Forward Party (FFP). Meanwhile, FFP Secretary-General Piyabutr Saengkanokkul has also received a summons to report as a witness in the case on the FFP statement on the dissolution of the Thai Raksa Chart Party (TRC).&nbsp;</p>

<p>Thailand is now stuck in a political stalemate. The democratic camp can win the House, but cannot choose the Prime Minister, while the pro-junta camp can choose the Prime Minister but cannot pass legislation through the House. Only one casualty for the democratic camp, and Thailand will be under a disguised military dictatorship for the next four years.</p>

<p>Today (27 March) at 11.00, representatives of six pro-democracy parties held a press conference at the Lancaster Hotel&nbsp;to announce that they are forming a coalition to become the next government of Thailand.</p>

<p>On 8 March, Col Burin Thongprapai, the NCPO&rsquo;s legal officer, filed a complaint with the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) against the website administrator and other relevant personnel of the Future Forward Party (FFP) for contempt of court.</p>

<p>Today (6 March), Pannika Wanich, spokesperson for the Future Forward Party (FFP), revealed that&nbsp;the party will file two defamation lawsuits against MC Chulcherm Yugala and T-News.</p>

<p>Lt Gen Pongsakorn&nbsp;Rodchompoo, Deputy Leader of the Future Forward Party, will be prosecuted by the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD) for sharing a fake news item about Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan, but he says his action was unintentional.</p>

<p>Yesterday (4&nbsp;March), the Election Commission (EC) accepted a petition filed by Srisuwan Janya&nbsp;against Thanathorn Juangroonruangkit for violating Section 73(5) of the 2017 organic law on the election of MPs.</p>

<div>While the confronting political ideologies in western countries are the left and the right, their counterparts in Thai politics are moral politics and the politics of economic inequality. These ideologies will be represented through political parties in the upcoming election.</div> <div> </div> <div>In the 2018 elections, policies will not and cannot be a decisive factor since politicians have to conform to the NCPO’s National Strategic Plan which provides a policy framework that future governments have to follow for the next 20 years. </div>
