Human rights lawyer Anon Nampa and student activist Panupong Jadnok are now under arrest on sedition charges under Section 116 of the Criminal Code and for violating the Emergency Decree after they took part in the mass protest on 18 July.

Six people who participated in the demonstration in front of the Cambodian Embassy last Monday (8 June) to call for the authorities to address the disappearance of activist in exile Wanchalearm Satsaksit have been summoned by the police on Emergency Decree charges, said Thai Lawyers for Human Rights (TLHR).

The Centre for the Covid-19 Situation Administration with the PM at its helm decided to lift the 11 pm – 3 am curfew. Many businesses are also allowed to resume, with protection measures and social distancing, on 15 June. Border controls rermain in place.
