After a clash between Thai and Cambodian troops was reported last night (29 July) at Phu Makua, Si Saket province, the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement this morning (30 July) condemning the clash as a violation of the ceasefire agreement.

Thailand reiterates its full commitment to the ceasefire and the peaceful resolution of the current situation and strongly calls on Cambodia to immediately cease all violations and return to full compliance with the said ceasefire agreement," said the statement.

Following five days of battle along the borders, Thailand and Cambodia agreed to an immediate and unconditional ceasefire on Monday (28 July).

Reports were circulated on social media late last night (29 July) of clashes at several locations along the border and of a drone attack on a Thai Air Force base in Ubon Ratchathani. However, Prime Minister's Office spokesperson Jirayu Hungsap, as a member of the Ad Hoc Centre for the Thailand-Cambodia Border Situation, told NBT Connext at 23.15 last night (29 July) that only the clash at Phu Makua is confirmed.

Meanwhile, the Thai Air Force said that there was no drone attack, but that there was a storm and strong wind which caused damage to some property on base.
